Twenty years ago when we returned back to Ohio from California, a work colleague recommended Dr. Iffland. After my first routine check up, he gave his home phone and said to call him if I ever had issues. Eating my dinner that night, I cracked a tooth. Since this had never happened before, I called him at home.
He had me in his office the next day to repair the tooth.
I had three additional dental emergencies, and they all happened over a weekend when we were out of town (Columbus, Los Angeles and Vancouver, British Columbia). Each time, I had a major infection and was in extensive pain. Each time I was in contact with Dr. Iffland during the weekend, and he prescribed medications for the pain and infection. Once I arrived back in town, I was in his office to determine what caused the problem and correct it.
When you are in extensive pain and out of town, you feel so helpless. To have Dr. Iffland so focused on helping and reassuring me while he should be enjoying the weekend with his family says a lot about him as a person. When you find a medical professional who goes above and beyond the call of duty, it is a blessing. My wife and I feel that Dr. Iffland and his staff are family. They are all concerned about all aspects of your dental health and it shows in the efforts they have provided.
